CREATING TOTEM POLES WITH CLASSROOM MATERIALS.
Along with our Room 6 friends we are going to create totem poles made out of recycled cans. These will enhance our school environment. In Room 5 we are at the planning stage of the project and have been discovering a little about the history of totem poles and the different reasons people create them. Here are some totem poles we have made in our classroom using classroom materials.

We love this idea. We are doing an inquiry into improving our school environment. Our last inquiry was about healthy eating so we've decided to bring the two together and plant a veggie garden at school. We are at the planning stage too. Maybe we will 'plant' a totem pole in our garden in honour of our Otago buddies! Whangarei Primary, Room 3
ReplyDeleteThank you, for taking the time to comment on our blog. We love getting comments. We have a vegetable garden at school and have been eating it's produce.
