TERM TWO- WE WORK TOWARDS BEING A WRAPPER FREE SCHOOL.

FROM TERM TWO OUR SCHOOL IS WORKING TOWARDS 'ZERO WASTE'.THIS MEANS THAT OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY IS REDUCING ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE LOCAL LANDFILLS BY RECYCLING AND COMPOSTING.
BY BECOMING A WRAPPER FREE SCHOOL WE ARE ENCOURAGING OUR FAMILIES TO THINK ABOUT THE AMOUNT OF PACKAGING OUR FOODS ARE WRAPPED IN.

IN ROOM 5 'ZERO WASTE' LOOKS LIKE.
  •  BRINGING YOUR FOOD TO SCHOOL IN CONTAINERS AND FOOD BAGS  THAT CAN BE REUSED.
  • COMPOSTING BRAIN FOOD SCRAPS.
  • LEAVING THE GLAD WRAP, CHIP PACKETS AND OTHER PACKAGING AT HOME.

DANDELION CLOCK

I'll find a dandelion clock

And break it off with care.
To tell the time I'll count the blows
Until the stalk is bare.

One o'clock, two o'clock,
three o'clock, four
Five o'clock,six o'clock,
seven o'clock, more.
Eight o'clock, nine o'clock ten o'clock, there -
Dandelion parachutes
everywhere.
Our shared poem this week is called 'Dandelion Clock' written by Joyce Le Pine.
We went out into a lovely autumn afternoon today and discovered many dandelion parachutes on our school playing field.

OUR NEXT LEARNING STEPS.

WE HAVE DISPLAYED OUR NEXT LEARNING STEPS IN THE CLASSROOM. PLEASE POP IN AND READ WHAT YOUR LEARNER IS FOCUSING ON THIS TERM.

MAGGIE AND LILY COME FOR A SCHOOL VISIT.

The Clyde School Children had a lovely surprise on Friday. Sienna and Kartier's mum brought their ponies to visit us all. Some of the Room 5 children enjoyed brushing the ponies long tail. Maggie and Lily won't need any tea tonight after all the grass they have been feed at school!
