On the 3rd of March we celebrated Hinamatsuri (Japanese Girls Day). Its a special day for girls (kind of like a shared birthday). Girls may have special dolls that they display in their houses around this time.In Japan this celebration falls in Spring, in New Zealand it is in Autumn. Kerry shared some delicious cake (made with spring colours) and yummy rice cakes with us.
We made cards to take home to a special girl in our own families.We also made dolls that are hanging in our classroom. Thanks Kerry.
