SCARECROWS

The Room 5 children along with their Big Buddies have created some Scarecrows from recycled materials. Some of these have been entered in the Scarecrow competition run by Enviroschools as part of the Thyme Festival.

CHOCOLATE CHIP BISCUITS

On the last Friday of Term 3, Room 5 and 6 baked Chocolate Chip Biscuits. We baked so many that we got to share them with all our school friends. 
We baked these biscuits as a result of our mini biscuit election the previous week.

ALEXANDRA BLOSSOM FESTIVAL-SCHOOL FLORREYS

Last weekend was the Alexandra Blossom Festival. This is a time when the community gets together and celebrates the arrival of Spring. The surrounding orchards comes alive after a cold winter with their displays of blossoms. This blossom festival a new float category was entered into the grand parade. The 'Florrey' category was well supported by local schools and preschools. As it is 100 years since World War One the children of Clyde Primary School entered 4 'florries' to remember those people who grew up in our village who didn't return form WW1.

OUR OWN LITTLE SNATCHABOOKS

Miss Tyrrell read us a story called Snatchabook written by Helen Docherty and Thomas Docherty. It is all about a little book thief! Click on the pictures above to found out more about Snatchabook.

SANDPIT SCIENCE.

Here we are making volcanoes in the school sandpit with our Educare friends.We watched the chemical reaction with great surprise!

KEEP NEW ZEALAND BEAUTIFUL

This afternoon Room 5 and 6  children hit the streets of Clyde with gloves and rubbish to clean up our village. It was pleasing to find not a lot of rubbish around.
