WEAVING BRACELETS

WE ARE WONDER WEAVERS.

Yesterday we joined forces with our Room 6 friends and Room 4 Buddies to create these bracelets.

We weaved colourful wool around 3 straws as part of our weaving theme.

On Tuesday the Junior School was lucky enough to visit the Clyde Fire Station as a conclusion to the Fire Wise Programme. A big THANK YOU to Fire Chief Davidson and his crew for taking the time to show us around. WE LOVED IT!

FIRE WISE PROGRAMME

The Junior school has been learning about being 'firewise' over the last couple of weeks.
 We have also been talking about fire safety and completing firewise homework activities with our families. 
Last week we enjoyed a visit from Clyde's Fire Chief Richard  Davidson and Queenstown Education Officer Preston. Click on the images below to watch us demonstrating our firewise knowledge.

We made kites to use out in the wind today. We discovered that the kites blow in the direction that the wind is blowing.
